Yakitori grilled chicken skewers

Get:
  • bamboo chicken skewers
  • 1lb chicken thighs
  • 0.25c sake
  • 0.25c dark soy sauce
  • 1tbsp brown sugar
  • 10 scallions
  • 3 cloves garlic

Do:
  • Combine sake, soy sauce, and sugar in a bowl
  • Add pressed garlic
  • Slice edible parts of scallion into 1 inch pieces
  • Slice chicken into 2cm pieces
  • Marinate chicken for at least 15 minutes
  • Skewer chicken alternating with scallion
  • Grill for 10-15 minutes, turning twice

Results:
  • Delicious! I didn't have that much scallion so I doubled up on chicken.
