- 0.8 - 1.0 lb ground turkey
- 1/2 medium onion, diced
- 1/2 red pepper, diced
- 1/2 tsp (or just eyeball it) each of:
- chili powder
- basil
- oregano
- rosemary
- thyme
- sage
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 minced clove of garlic
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup broth
- 2 cups dry egg noodles
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- In a pot over medium high heat with some oil, add the turkey, onion, pepper, all spices, and cook until the turkey is browned.
- Add milk, broth, peas, noodles, and tomato sauce, bring to a boil, then simmer for 12 - 15 minutes to let the noodles cook and the liquid boil off. Stir often.
- Mix in the cheese, remove from heat, cover and let sit for 5 minutes.
This is a _lot_ of liquid. In Sep 2016, we made this with 1 cup tomato sauce, but I think I would make it 1.5 cups (2 small cans) and less broth (adds nothing) and a bit more salt, so it doesn't have to boil off so much liquid.
