Lemon syrup

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • zest from those lemons
Do:
  1. Juice and zest the lemons until you have 1 cup of juice.
  2. Simmer the juice and sugar in a sauce pan. Start at medium-high heat, bring to a boil, then lower to simmering, and leave for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat, and stir in the zest. Leave to cool for about 20 minutes.
  4. Strain out the zest. You have lemon syrup!
