For yogurt sauce: - half a cucumber, peeled and finely sliced
- 200g yogurt, plain
- dill or mint leaves, minced
- Salt and pepper, maybe onion and garlic powder into the sauce
- Combine in a bowl, let stand a while to meld flavors
For toppings and sides: - Sliced heirloom tomato
- Sliced red onion
- Ciabatta or sourdough buns
- Cheese? (I don't think needed with the sauce)
- The yogurt sauce
- Serve with fries of course!
For burger patties: - ground lamb meat, sold in 1lb packages from Safeway
- dash of olive oil
- salt, pepper, garlic powder
- minced onion or shallot
- spicy mustard
- Mix ingredients by hand, form into patties.
- Put a dimple in the middle!
- Grill on med-high heat for 3-4 minutes per side for medium done.
- Grill buns 2 minutes per side
- Top with sauce and serve
Results: - Burgers are too thick! They become spherical even with a dimple. Try making them thinner than you think you should.
- Yummy!Â
- Dill was good! Maybe better than the mint.
- 4 minutes per side on high heat (450F) is juicy but gray, even with pretty thick burgers.
