- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla. Add the baking soda and salt, then the flour and chocolate chips.
- Refrigerate dough mixture for at least 15 minutes. Overnight is okay.
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans, with optional silicone baking sheets.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until brown.
- Allow to cool on cookie racks for at least 5 minutes.
