chocolate chip cookies

  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  1. Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  2. Beat in the egg and vanilla. Add the baking soda and salt, then the flour and chocolate chips.
  3. Refrigerate dough mixture for at least 15 minutes. Overnight is okay.
  4. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  5. Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans, with optional silicone baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes or until brown.
  7. Allow to cool on cookie racks for at least 5 minutes.
