Brown butter ravioli

Get:
  • ravioli (premade with cheese would be simple)
  • butter
  • almonds
  • pear, minced
Do:
  • sliver almonds
  • mince pear
  • boil the ravioli (fresh usually doesn't take long, follow instructions if packaged)
  • melt slices of butter in a pan over medium heat
  • add the almonds as the butter browns
  • remove from heat and transfer to a dish to stop cooking
  • pour sauce over the ravioli and serve






Notes:
I got this idea from a restaurant in Guerneville. Theirs was ravioli stuffed with pulled pork in this brown butter sauce with minced pear and shaved toasted almonds. The pork and ravioli were a little under-flavored, but the sauce was delicious.
