Berry syrup

  • 1 package (1 cup) blackberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  1. Mix all together over medium heat until it starts to boil, then reduce to a low simmer.
  2. After 15 minutes, remove from heat and cool.
Next time
  • Doesn't gel well, very watery. Maybe add corn starch? I tried that and it wasn't great, but some recipes say to stir 1 tbsp corn starch with 1 tbsp water and then mix that in.
