Cut the dates nearly in half, lengthwise. Pull out the seed and discard. Replace the seed-shaped hole with a mound of goat cheese. Cut the bacon in half. Roll each date in a half-slice of bacon, and pin it in place by stabbing a toothpick all the way through. Preheat the oven to 375F. Place the dates on a tray. The tray should either have a grease-trap, or solid sides, because there will be a lot of grease. Bake for 30 minutes total. After 20 minutes, flip each date to make them evenly crispy. |
